Free tools for PostgreSQL & cloud storage
Fast, browser-only utilities for reading query plans, tuning connections, and estimating storage cost. No sign-up, no uploads, nothing leaves your browser. Built by the team behind Swyftstack.
Paste an EXPLAIN ANALYZE plan and get an interactive tree, slow-node highlighting, row-estimate checks, and plain-English fixes.
Open toolCompare AWS S3, Cloudflare R2, Backblaze B2, Google Cloud, Azure, and Supabase side by side - storage, egress, and requests, with charts.
Open toolBuild or decode a DATABASE_URL and generate ready-to-paste snippets for Node, Python, Go, Rust, Java, and PHP.
Open toolTurn CPU, RAM, and workload into a safe pool_size, max_connections, PgBouncer mode, and timeouts - with the math shown.
Open toolFind a safe max_connections and shared_buffers from your instance RAM, with per-connection memory accounted for.
Open toolUseful first. Everything else follows.
We build database and storage infrastructure, so we kept reaching for small tools that didn't exist in a form we liked. These are those tools, made public - each one solves a real problem end to end, works offline, and never asks for your data.
Deterministic JavaScript, no backend. Paste a plan or a connection string and the answer is computed locally - safe for production data.
Every tool comes with worked examples, diagrams, and the reasoning behind each recommendation, so you learn the 'why', not just the 'what'.
Free forever, no account. If you like how we think about databases, our managed PostgreSQL is one click away - but the tools stand on their own.
About these tools
Are these tools really free?
Yes. Every tool here is free to use with no account, no sign-up, and no usage limits. They exist to be genuinely useful - and, honestly, to introduce developers to Swyftstack's managed PostgreSQL and storage.
Do the tools send my data anywhere?
No. Each tool runs entirely in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing you paste - queries, plans, connection strings - is uploaded, logged, or stored. Most tools keep working with the network disconnected.
Can I use these on production data?
The tools never transmit what you paste, so pasting a production query plan or a connection string stays on your machine. As always, be mindful of secrets in anything you copy - a connection string may contain a password.
Will you add more tools?
Yes. The roadmap is shown above with 'Coming soon' cards. Each new tool ships with full documentation, worked examples, and diagrams rather than a bare widget.
